This is going to be short, and I'm going to start off by introducing myself. I'm 38, and I've been a conservative Republican all my life. But after seven years of watching Bush and the Republicans in Congress squander the opportunity to build a better future for our country, I'm finally motivated to get involved in politics. A friend of mine, Paul Hollis, is running for the U.S. Senate here in Louisiana, and I've signed on as his press secretary. Paul is, like me, an honest-to-God conservative, and he's also disgusted with Republicans-In-Name-Only dragging the party into disaster. It's happening here in Louisiana despite the promise of Bobby Jindal beginning his first term as governor; state treasurer John Kennedy, who was a Democrat nine months ago and who ran for the Senate against David Vitter in 2004 calling Bush's tax cuts "nonsense on a stick," is now supposedly the anointed GOP nominee. That stinks to high heaven where we're concerned, so Paul is running. We're going to have an actual Republican in our Republican primary this year.
